BUYING YOUR WGT TICKET
So you have arranged your hotel and flight, time to think about getting a ticket. There are a few options, you can get a ticket when you
arrive in Leipzig, or you can order it via the official website either with an international money order or by Paypal. If you live in Germany or
Switzerland you have the option of picking up your ticket directly from various locations (as publicised on the official website)

FROM THE OFFICIAL WGT WEBSITE
This has to be the best way to get your ticket, and you have two options, International Money order or Paypal.
When tickets go on sale, simply enter your details (name, home address, email, and how many tickets you want and of what type)
In 2007 the tickets are priced at €58 each, if you are camping you need to add an 'Obsorge' ticket at €21 and parking will cost you a
further €15
. Submit this info and you will get an email back (within minutes) with further details. These further details will be a link to
Paypal and a PDF file that you can take to the bank to transfer the money via an international money order (this will cost you, depending
on exchange rates and bank, about €40),

Postage is €8 outside of Germany.

Paypal will also cost you a nominal fee,  and will increase the price of 1 ticket to €70, obviously if you order more tickets the postage
wont go up. Paypal is secure as any Internet banking and has to be the preferred way of ordering tickets.

An example of the PDF file (from 2006) can be found opposite.
Take it to your bank, they will assist you and tell you how much it will cost.
The price is in 2007 is €58 + €8 P&P = €66 for one ticket (+ your banks charges or PayPal Charges) well worth it.

BUYING YOUR TICKET WHEN YOU GET TO LEIPZIG
I have never known the event to sell out; everybody seems to be able to get a ticket even people that arrive late. The only advantage of
buying a ticket early is to get them for a cheaper price. If you buy them when you arrive in Leipzig expect to pay about €65.

If you do plan on getting your ticket in Leipzig then I advise that you get your ticket Thursday evening; they normally go on sale at 5-6pm
at Werk 2 (look for a little metal hut outside in the road) and the Agra. Expect a long queue.

WGT TICKETS (PAST YEARS)
WGT Tickets are works of art, you will want to keep it, here are a few from previous years.

ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR TICKET
If you ordered your ticket online or purchased it when you got to Leipzig then you will now need to exchange part of that ticket for an
wristband. At the same time and location that the tickets go on sale in Leipzig there will be somebody exchanging tickets parts for
wristbands (Werk II or the Agra), you hand your ticket over they tear a bit off and you get an wristband (NOTE: for 2006 it appears that the
right eye of the ticket will push out). The wristbands are made from a course nylon that may annoy you (I have seen some nasty rashes
from the wristbands), the wristband will be connected to your arm by means of a lump of aluminium (that again is quite annoying) that
is crushed together in some sort of medieval vice.

Once you have your wristband you can relax and enjoy the best Gothic Festival in the World.

You can also get your wristband from the campsite (if you are camping). At about 5pm on Thursday, the queues seem to be smaller at
the campsite and there are more ticket exchanging outlets on the campsite.  Be sure to queue up at the white tents in the middle of the
camping areas.

NOTE: Your wristband entitles you to free use of the public transport system for the duration of the Festival (Note: not the Thursday
before, or the Tuesday after, if you use public transport on these days you need to purchase a ticket).
